The Florida Supreme Court Blog (FlascBlog) was founded in 2012 by Jacek Stramski to provide accessible, accurate, and concise summaries of some of the current developments occurring at the Sunshine State’s highest tribunal. Jacek graduated from the University of California, San Diego in 2005 and was a double-Seminole (M.S., 2006; J.D., 2010). A career public servant, Jacek served as an attorney at the Florida Department of Financial Services, the Florida House of Representatives, the Office of the Attorney General, and the Florida Department of Revenue, and taught comparative politics, law and society, and federal constitutional law at the Florida State University Department of Political Science. Jacek was active in the Government Lawyer Section of the Florida Bar, serving a term as Chair in 2020-21 where he led a law school outreach initiative on the merits of public service, and also served on the Florida Bar Grievance Committee for the Second Judicial Circuit.
